¡Feliz Aniversario Patti + Chris!

Happy First Anniversary to Patti & Chris! This super sweet couple from Chicago had a beautiful and intimate wedding at Casa Ilusion on Sayulita’s north end beach. I love looking back at these photos – they are dripping with love and affection between the happy couple. Adding to the glow of the lovely Bride, and the depth of those looks between new husband and wife, is the fact that they were expecting their first child at the time of the wedding. I can just feel it in these photos, the excitement and love around a new family forming, knowing that their baby would be born in August – and with their baby in their arms today, they have even more to celebrate this anniversary.

The wedding was a family affair, with Patti’s Uncle Bud acting as the wedding Officiate, and friends of the family providing the pre-ceremony piano and song, as well as the beautiful calligraphy on the guest book and the hand-lettered apple place cards. Patti & Chris wanted a delicious and authentic Mexican dinner from their favorite Sayulita restaurant, Sayulita Café. Miguel and his team served up their signature chiles rellenos along with chicken mole, cactus salad, and yummy guacamole. Tamale Diva Adriana Basail prepared mini-versions of her scrumptious gourmet mayan pork and spinach pine nut tamales for cocktail hour canapés. Dessert was assorted cakes from Anna, the Sayulita "Cake Lady." The flowers were beautifully done by Mireya of Flor Mimo, with hair & makeup by Karina of Raphaella Salon.

Patti wanted to host a special luncheon for her girlfriends and Bridesmaids the day before the wedding, so we organized a spa party where guests each chose three services from stations offering massage, facials, and mani-pedis. Sayulita Sushi catered the luncheon with a delicious array of sushi, and ladies sipped on sparkling wine while getting pampered and checking out the ocean view.
