¡Feliz Aniversario Ginger + Matt!
I've got another Elizabeth Lloyd beauty for you - celebrating the 3 year anniversary of the adorable Ginger + Matt, then from Austin and now living an adventurous ex-pat life in Rwanda. Ginger + Matt had one of the most fun, memorable, and love-filled weddings I've experienced. They are just one of those perfect couples that absolutely radiate joy and bliss and love, and you just can't help but smile when you are near them. Their rehearsal dinner wins hands-down for the most fun supporting event we've ever thrown. They wanted to have a talent show for their guests so we rented out Sayulita's La Fiesta Restaurant, a classic courtyard-style Mexican joint with a big stage front and center. Guests sang, tap-danced, recited beat poetry, did comedy routines, shook booty, and had a general all around awesome time.
The wedding ceremony was reverent and joyous, with guest participation including a blessing of the rings (each ring was passed to guests who spent a moment blessing the rings in silence) and an invitation for all the guests to stand and circle the couple, showing their support and love for the union. After the nuptials, Mariachis led everyone in a procession from the Brisa Mar Palapa down to Playa los Muertos for a Champagne Toast and group photo, then back up to the Palapa where guests enjoyed cocktail hour and canapes. After some beautiful portraits on the beach and in the nearby cemetery, the Newlyweds wowed the crowd with the best reception entrance we've ever seen, a rockin' coordinated dance to a CC Rider tune. After dinner, everyone danced the night away to a playlist that Ginger + Matt created themselves, having awesome musical tastes and all. Fabulousness ensued, and has continued for this lovely couple, now a beautiful family with their baby boy Ryder in tow. We heart you, Ginger, Matt & Ryder! Happy Anniversary!
